Sending your Designated Voters List
For Florida communities, the Designated Voters List identifies the specific individuals authorized to cast ballots for each unit, which may differ from the general owner roster.
Required Format
The GetQuorum platform exclusively accepts this data in Excel format (.csv, .xls, or .xlsx). Please organize your file with the following columns:
-
Unit Number/Address
-
Designated Voter(s) Name
-
Designated Voter(s) Email Address
-
Mailing Address: Required only if GetQuorum is handling your campaign’s printing and mailing.
Roster vs. Designated Voters List
It is important to distinguish between your general roster and your legal voting list:
-
Owner Roster: A list of all record title owners for every unit.
-
Designated Voters List: The specific persons authorized to vote for their unit.
-
This may be the owner(s) on the deed.
-
This may be a single individual appointed via a Voting Certificate (often required for units with multiple owners or those owned by corporations/trusts).
-
Note: Please consult your governing documents or your corporation's solicitor to determine how your designated voters must be established.
